IGNOU B.Ed Admission 2025-26: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the IGNOU BEd program must meet the following eligibility requirements:

1. Educational Qualification
   • Applicants must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks.
   • OR, candidates must have teaching experience as a trained in-service teacher in an elementary school.
2. Teacher Education Program
   • Applicants must have completed a teacher education program recognized by NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) in face-to-face mode.

IGNOU B.Ed Admission 2025-26 : Exam Details

1. Exam Pattern
   • The exam is divided into two sections:
     • Part A: General English, Logical Reasoning, Educational & General Awareness, and Teaching Aptitude.
     • Part B: Subject-specific questions based on the candidate’s chosen teaching subject.
   • The exam duration is 2 hours.
   • The exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each carrying 1 mark.
